Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History month, Formcraft wanted to share more about the exceptional women that we are all fortunate to work with. Here are some of their proudest accomplishments and the most interesting facts!



Donna McDaniel, NCIDQ, LEED Green Assoc.

Sr. Interior Designer


My Proudest Accomplishment:

Placing in the top 3 finalists/winners for the National Competition for An Empowered Patient room design that focused on human-centered design and patient comfort. It was sponsored by the Institute for Patient-Centered Care and we were honored at the 2012 Healthcare Design Conference Held in Arizona.


Fun Fact:

I once rode a pony in a western barrel racing competition.


Daniella Pifano, RA, LEED AP

Architect


My Proudest Accomplishment:

Earning my architectural license in the US!

Fun Fact:

I learned how to drive a stick shift car when I was 13 years old.



Julia Lech - Violette

Sr. Interior Designer

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Continuing to have a good work ethic, and setting an example for my daughter.


Fun Fact:

I have been a dance and fitness instructor for all ages since I was 16 years old.



Maura DiNardo, LEED Green Assoc., Assoc. IIDA

Interior Designer

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Working on a project that won Best of Higher Ed for the PA/NJ/DE Design Awards.


Fun Fact:

I was an Irish Dancer for over 10 years.


Tess Staal

Creative Project Manager

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Graduating from Wilmington University’s graduate school and earning my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing Management in less than two years while being a full-time employee at Formcraft.


Fun Fact:

I have been skydiving for over five years with close to 500 jumps.


Courtney Page

Interior Designer

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Being inducted into the Towson University Athletic Hall of Fame’s Team of Distinction as a member of the 1990-91 Women's Lacrosse Teams.


Fun Fact:

I played ice hockey for 10 years, ½ the years on a men’s team.


Elaine Ciufo

Interior Designer

My Proudest Accomplishment:

I worked for four years at a huge construction site for an 18 story office tower in Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s where I was the architect’s representative from when the concrete slabs were poured until the furniture was installed. It was rough being the lone woman on a construction site full of men in those days as you can imagine. Boy, do I have stories! But I stuck it out and learned a lot in the process.


Fun Fact:

I went to veterinary school to be a veterinary technician, but I stopped just before doing the internship at Penn Vet because the profession didn’t pay enough money at the time.



Amanda Blecher, NCIDQ

Interior Designer

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Getting my NCIDQ certification!


Fun Fact:

I love amusement parks and rollercoasters; my favorite roller coaster is Kingda Ka at Six Flags!



Kiley McGill

Office Administrator

My Proudest Accomplishment:

Getting my cosmetology license at 18 years old.


Fun Fact:

I love traveling and have been to over 10 islands. My favorite place thus far is Turks and Caicos.
