Wawa’s “create a destination” project at their Red Roof Campus.
Traditional, existing features can make or break a new space. For Wawa’s new space, these features brought character and charm.
TIMEFRAME: 3 weeks
In 1902, Wawa, Inc. began a small dairy processing plant in Wawa, PA. In 1964, Wawa, Inc. set up its first convenience retail store as an outlet for dairy products and had since grown to 645 locations.
Original buildings on the property were built with local stone. So our design team brought these features into the space along with custom wall panels that display the rich history a company that now employs more than 22,000 people. The headquarters for Wawa, Inc. sits on land that was once home to the original dairy farm of the founder, George Woods. It was important that the roots of the company be displayed as you enter their corporate building.
